Oil-Sealed Rotary Vacuum Pumps
Construction Oil-sealed rotary pumps are widely used as an economical pump to compress gases whose pressure ranges from atmospheric pressure up to 0.13 to 1.3 ×10-2Pa and then exhaust them into the air. SR and SRP pumps (rotary plunger type) consist of a cylinder, rotors, piston, slide pins and exhaust valves while SVC and SGR pumps (sliding vane rotary vacuum pump) consist of rotors, vanes, vane springs and exhaust valves
Principle of operation When the rotors, which are fixed to shafts, are rotated, a space emerges inside the pump cylinder and its volume gradually increases. As a result, outside gas is introduced into the space in the cylinder through the suction port. As the rotors are further rotated, the gas in the spaces between the cylinder and the piston, and between the cylinder and the vanes, is moved to another space, where the gas is compressed and then exhausted through the exhaust valve into the oil tank.

Construction The main body of a water- ring pump consists of a circular casing and an impeller, where the impeller is centered a little offset from the center of the casing.
When the impeller is rotated in the casing with a due amount of sealing water added in the casing, the sealing water, which is greater in the specific gravity, is pressed against the inner wall of the casing by the centrifugal force, making a concentric ring as shown in the diagram. Utilizing the changing volume of the space surrounded by the inner wall of the sealing water ring and the impeller blades as the impeller turns, the pump performs actions of intake, compression, and delivery continuously, with the gas coming and going through the suction and exhaust ports provided in the side wall or inner wall of the impeller. Rotation of higher speed can attain more efficient exhaust. In addition, the sealing water functions as the seal so that sucked gas will be positively exhausted.
Features Owing to the sealing water, the pump can exhaust even flammable gases and corrosive gases. The water-sealed structure is very suitable for exhausting gases containing water vapor (or steam) and/or water droplets. Construction Two shafts are placed in parallel, to which two balanced cocoon-shaped rotors are fixed respectively, and they are driven by a motor. As the rotor is rotated, the gas coming in through the suction port is trapped in the space between the casing and rotors, and then exhausted continuously through the exhaust port, producing vacuum in an efficient manner.
Selection of second-stage pump A mechanical booster pump is not designed to compress and discharge the gas to the atmospheric pressure. Its performance varies with the type and performance of the second-stage pump. Therefore, it is essential to select a second-stage pump most suitable to the required purpose when to construct an exhaust system that uses a mechanical booster pump.
To select a pump, assume the exhaust capacity of the second-stage pump to be 1/2 to 1/10.
Select a large-capacity pump for the pressure of the case of continuous running at relatively high operation pressure and select a small-capacity pump for the pressure of the case of continuous running at low operation pressure.

Three-lobes root blower
Initially, nearly all blowers were the two-lobed type.
Because production was difficult though it was low noise, low vibration,

ANLET VACUUM PUMP
1) Easy maintenance and disassembly facilitated by upper and lower split casing design.
2) The multi-stage rotor is formed from a combined rotor and shaft assembly and is able to achieve strong vacuums down to 0.1 Pa.
3) Using three-lobes roots type rotors, we minimize noise and vibration with properly balanced rotor motion.
4) No lubricants are required in the pump chamber: because there is no oil flow-back towards the high vacuum conditions, you get a clean vacuum.
5) The shaft is sealed with a dry seal.
6) No oil mist is discharged from the pump; this minimizes both environmental impact and health risks to the pump operator.
7) Operation can begin from atmospheric pressure and remains stable over a broad range of pressures.
